John Cady,
You have just answered the question I asked days ago and was attacked about. Is there a pecking order going on here that I must adhere to?

You could change that, P.R.. You could start by telling us a little about yourself.

Take a look at the photos from the recent board meeting - before the leadership removes them. Take a good look at the pics from day 4. EJT is feverishly trying to sell this "field of dreams" to the rest of the board; some of the guys simply do not look all that impressed.

"Awwww, do we REALLY have to move???"

"Yes, broooother...we do not want to buck against the leadership, do we?"

This whole *Vision Casting* remionds me of the bogus building campaigns in Waukegan. This time, fewer folks are buying the sales pitch.

I noticed it too...Bruce is sporting a pretty good sized spread there.

I am talking about his gut, not the presentation.

Edward J. Thomas wrote:
In early '07, we moved into Newtown Road. It was a lot of work. We were there five months, and it cost us roughly $50,000 a month to have that building. But it just gave us practice for what we have to do in our new building.

In March, Pastor Paine and I were returning from a trip to Florida, and God gave us the direction for our ministry, in Coming Together, Moving Up. We knew that God had spoken, and we were going to move the ministry headquarters and all the key leaders to Virginia.

In April, we had our dedication service in Newtown Road, and told all the senior pastors of the move.

In June, we had our Senior Pastors Tour, and put almost 10,000 miles on each of our motorcycles. During that time, we spent a lot of time discussing the move and what it would mean for everybody.

In July and August, we told all of the congregations. It was blessed; it was fruitful; but it was very emotional. The testimonies that came out of that were awesome. One man said that he'd had a dream, and he and his wife had been packing ever since. He had dreamed that I had walked into his house and said, "Pack your stuff, because you're moving to Norfolk in the near future." He didn't tell anyone, When the announcent came, he near jumped for joy.

In October, Pastor Ulysse and his family were the very first to move here from Florida. In November, we made our Israel Tour. Then when we got back, the Rays moved to Waukegan. That was the second move.

In December, we purchased our new home at 3415 Azalea Garden Road. Our goal is to start having worship services there in March. Rich Snow was the first single person to move here; he arrived just this week.

This excerpt from a recent message tells more in detail of how EJT and PFP arrived at the decision. I noticed how this was pretty much a unilateral decision on their part; no one from the board or even the other pastors were given opportunity to provide input or even voice dissent. Of course, they had to waste more of the church's funds on a trip to the Holy Land. Newtown Road was just...PRACTICE? Talk about waste, fraud, and abuse! All the time and work into the place only to throw it all away. That is disgusting and downright wasteful. All because of some pipe dream about briniging everyone together. As to what kind of pipe...take your pick.

I am amazed at how EJT and PFP continue to use and manipulate folks into thinking that every decision they make comes straight from God. Does every choice I make come from God? No. Do I try to find His will in the midst of things? Yes. Pastors of churches I have visited, and currently worship in, do not make such boastful claims as EJT and PFP do. They admit their faults and human failings.

Coming Together, Moving Up? The postings on the international website concerning new converts tells it all: CFCMI, despite all the damage control, is in decline because the leaders still refuse to confront the sin that was allowed to fester all these years and turn back to Jesus.

Thanks for sharing your story , Ed.

Has anyone heard when the last rites...I mean final services...will be held in Waukegan, San Diego, and Fort Lauderdale before the move is complete? I know it won't be very long.

Quote:
Peter F. Paine, February 2008:

Jesus has spoken! It is His good pleasure to make Christian Fellowship Ministries the largest Jesus-name ministry in the world! From the many examples in the Bible and those we have experienced in our lifetimes, we know that whenever God speaks, it will come to pass. The leaders of CFCMI have faithfully accepted His desire to use us as a powerful worldwide ministry, and now we come together and embrace this vision as our goal.

As the Scriptures state above, with God all things are possible, and He is already working out the details of this new direction for our ministry. He has made possible the acquisition of new property for our World Headquarters that would otherwise have been impossible. He has opened opportunities for our existing properties to be turned into working capital that can help us to become a debt-free organization. He wants to move us forward more than ever on this mission of seeing souls saved worldwide.

A vision does not come to life by itself; it takes both faith and works to make it happen. We have been given the vision, and God wants to use us to bring it to life. In order for us to become the largest Jesus-name ministry in the world, we must all work together toward this common goal. We have acquired the property in Virginia that will meet the needs of our goal, but there is more to do in order to present it as a ready tool for ministry.

Until now, you have been supporting CFCMI through contributions to your local ministry or to a building fund. The time has come to combine these efforts and funds. In my previous letter to you, I disclosed information regarding a forthcoming ministry-wide campaign designed to bring our funds together to help us reach our goal. I am pleased to announce that you can now visit this ministry-wide campaign, “Building Our Future,” through our international ministry’s website. Go to http://www.cfcmi.org/ and click the link to “Building Our Future”. In this area you will find more information about this new campaign. Also, if you have any questions or concerns about the campaign, contributions, or our existing properties, there is a means to contact us; we will address the issues promptly. If you do not have access to the Internet, please use the enclosed questionnaire. Either way, I look forward to hearing from you.

Please let me remind you that the vision we are seeking has come from God and that we are all in this together. If it were not of God He would not have allowed the miracles within the ministry that have already connected us to it. It is very important to continue making contributions to support your ministry. People have begun to move to Virginia and prepare our new World Headquarters for full operation this year, and God will continue to answer the prayers of those faithfully helping to bring this vision into existence.

I encourage you all to remember why you have been called to this ministry. We have the vision. We have the direction. We have the property. And now we have the ministry-wide campaign that will help us channel our resources into preaching the gospel and baptizing those who believe through the largest Jesus-name ministry in the world! We are coming together and moving up... we are building our future.

Pete is begging for more money to support his lavish lifestyle, along with Ed and Dan.

Smells like to me!

We are taking a property of over 5 acres, which includes a large facility (a former Boys and Girls Club) with several assembly areas, classrooms, offices, a gymnasium, and an Olympic size pool! The other separate building is an office complex, which will most likely house our International Offices.

Not much room for office space from what I saw in the photos. Of course, some buildings are more spacious than they appear...however, with the atrophied state of CFCMI, I doubt that they would really need that much space.

Peter F. Paine wrote:
Phase 1 is to get into the building, make as much of it functional as practical, do major cleanup and restoration. One nice touch will be the installation of a very durable, high-tech flooring in all hallways and classrooms. During this time, the Ministers College, International Offices, and the new church functions will be set up, all within those usable areas.

Of course, most of the work as always is done by the single men. Will they really go the extra mile and put this "high-tech" flooring in? Naaaah! The leadership have always found ways to cut corners and make the buildings APPEAR nice. Once in a while they will see the need to splurge and hire professionals to do the work; however, if they can find a way to squeeze more work out of the single men, they will. The "minister's college" will not need a whole lot of room since there are hardly enough people left to actually funnel through the program.

Peter F. Paine wrote:
Phase 2 is to determine the needs for future growth (that's where all of us can have input!), and then survey and design the cleared land for more facilities, especially a worship center. We will then look to modify the existing buildings, and their heating/air/plumbing systems to accommodate the new construction.

Don't beliieve the hype. PFP and EJT have never accepted anyone else's input unless it was within their scope of approval. Many ideas will be offered but most will sadly be rejected. The status quo will be maintained. We have heard this song and dance before for many years about new buildings, but those have proven false every single time. No new building will ever emerge. We never saw one in Waukegan for the International HQ, so why should we expect anything different in Norfolk?

Peter F. Paine wrote:
Phase 3 will be to actually build the new buildings! Of course, through all this, we will need to continue raising funds and support for the entire project.

That's right. Keep sending these criminals money to finance their new homes, motorcycles, and vacations...the whole building fund is just a field of dreams that will never come true. They have lied about the buildings all this time, and they will continue to do so until they get caught or no one is left to be bled dry. At least Kevin Costner built his "field of dreams"!

I found the new structure rather curious. It appears (from the sketch at the board meeting) that EJT and PFP share the leadership of CFCMI and that it is no longer structured so that a single person is its "head".
I would favor a structure something like the U.S. president and cabinet. Where the "principle officers" collectively have the ability to declare the leader incapable of leading.
Off hand, I am not aware of a biblical precedent for this new structure.

New Changes:

- Dan Lantis was stripped of his title.

- Bruce Wilson is now "dean" of the fictitious minister's college. They only want single men running the "school".

- EJT is now "co-General Pastor".

CFCMI Floor Plan

I downloaded and saved this floor plan before it too is deleted by the leadership. The floor plan is very unorganized, and does not look like it will help bring any new people into the church.

Swimming Pool - it needs to be gutted and replaced with a floor, turning it into the main sanctuary. Swimming pools in public buildings are a liability unless there are qualified lifeguards present to monitor the activities. Unless, of course, they plan on baptizing hundreds like they say they are...

Baptistry - hidden away in the inner workings of the building, one wouldn't even think they still baptized anybody unless they saw the floor plan. Most churches place the baptistry in the sanctuary.

Fellowship Hall/Sanctuary - Yes, cram everyone into the smaller room to give the appearance of a bigger crowd. The photos show that it is harder for everyone to enjoy themselves in that place; won't be long before Ed rebukes everyone for not "opening up" in their worship. They probably would if there was more room, and the place was not like a sardine can.

Houston - this must be the mystery room. What is its purpose? Is this Pam and Debbie's office? Are they relocating anyone from Houston?

Storage/Boiler rooms - Wow! Lots and lots of room to put things...and places to hide out. Remember the Waukegan building? That had lots of hiding places too, and even some of the rooms were actual bedrooms for selected staffers. Are we seeing a return to this too?

Offices - Only Pete and Ed have their own offices. Sorry, Bruce. Ed has a closet and Pete doesn't, so this may mean the power shift is still in progress...wouldn't the king have the best of everything? But look, Pat Taylor and Christine have their own offices too. Of course, Christine will always find a way to pawn her work onto some unsuspecting staffer while she takes her daughters out to the mall, etc. Bruce, Hubert, and the other "pastors" will have to share the general office with the treasurer and other staff. Dan, thankfully, has been left in San Diego where he and Joe Watson can be left to their own devices.

Classrooms - most churches with a school or a proposed school will have relatively small classrooms. However, nothing has been set up for the *minister's college* - maybe that is the Houston room?

Enough of the guided tour for now.
